The massive Indian market can take advantage of Cortana, Microsoft’s digital assistant thanks to the November update.

Cortana’s knowledge base has been widened to include information on the country’s cricketers, local holidays and customs, and to handle the variety of dialects and accents across the huge nation.

Users can now enjoy chatting to Cortana by Choosing the English (India) option rather than having to stick with US or UK English.

Microsoft is making increasing and decent efforts to cater to international markets, Skype recently added Bollywood star emojis for that region. While most tech firms are trying to be more diverse in their online activities.

That’s as they try to drive these markets to PC adoption, rather than heading straight to mobile and tablets for all their computing needs.

English Indian joins simplified Chinese, French, Italian, German and Spanish. Expect more languages and dialects to be incorporated as Microsoft aim to attract more users around the world.
