#Windows 10 on #Xiaomi Mi4 is coming this month

Xiaomi Phones Windows 10 Mobile
Seems like we’re about to cross the finish line! A variant of the Xiaomi Mi4 running Windows 10 Mobile has been in the news for months now, but there are signs that it may be announced soon.
Like this month.
Around the Thanksgiving holiday.
Or Turkey Day, as some know it as.
Xiaomi and Microsoft confirmed their partnership earlier this year, for an experimental program targeting fans of the Windows Phone platform to see the newest version of the mobile OS installed on the company’s flagship device.
The Xiaomi Mi4 is still the flagship smartphone for the Chinese company, but it has been available on the market for more than a year, and due for a refresh in the next couple of weeks.
In the form of the Xiaomi Mi5.
But before that, it appears that we might be treated to something related to Mi4 and Windows 10 Mobile in a few days from now.
There are signs that the program was a success for all involved parties, and a Xiaomi Mi4 handset running Windows 10 Mobile could be announced around Thanksgiving.
November 28, that is to say.
This is according to a Microsoft Operating System Software Engineer Institute Director, who has also published a photo of a smartphone running a preview build of Microsoft’s mobile OS:

Most likely, Xiaomi will announce something related to the Mi4 this month.
At the very least, the company might simply release a final build of Windows 10 Mobile, making it available to all owners of the Xiaomi Mi4.
But if we do get a new hardware launch, a new smartphone, there is every chance that it will be called something other than the Mi4.
That device struggles to keep up with newer handsets now, and the Snapdragon 801 chip inside it simply makes it a midrange device that might fail to attract the maximum amount of buyers. Let’s see.
